Data from organizations working with CSWs, reveal that children contribute over Rs 15,000/-CR every year to the annual business, valued at Rs 55000/- Cr.
The Central Bureau Of Investigation, says India occupied an important position as a Source, Transit, and Destination country for human trafficking, with an estimated 100 million people involved in the trade.
Trafficking is the second largest illegal trade after arm's sale. Approx. 1.2 million children are exploited in prostitution throughout India.
