According to the Ministry of Women and Child Development, there are an estimated 3 million prostitutes in India, of whom 40% are children below 17 yrs and below. Data from organizations working with CSWs, reveal that children contribute over Rs 15,000/-CR every year to the annual business, valued at Rs 55000/- Cr.
The Central Bureau Of Investigation, says India occupied an important position as a Source, Transit, and Destination country for human trafficking, with an estimated 100 million people involved in the trade.
Trafficking is the second largest illegal trade after arm's sale. Approx. 1.2 million children are exploited in prostitution throughout India.
Project Udaan is a path breaking effort to create Safe Haven for the Children of Indian Sex Workers and helping them to get back to mainstream of society by providing loving and compassionate care with access to Healthcare, Education, Skills training and self growth.

Sex workers face stigma and discrimination and ostracised in society. Sex trade is not legalised. Children of CSW are victims of their circumstances from birth,denied the opportunity to be free of their background, and deprived of an environment conducive to healthy physical and psychological development.
Education is the biggest equalizer. Our Goal is to provide education and safe living environment to the rescued children. To identify and resolve issues, leading to improving their overall living conditions.
Build a residential school away from the brothels.Rescue child sex workers and at risk children,raise them as our own by providing free food, shelter, clothing, medical help, education, vocational training and HOPE.
